In today’s post, I want to give you a small advice. People in our industry fall in love with the wrong people very often. This may give you a lot of problems and will create a big loss in your business.
Have you ever feel like “Man! This person has a great ability to build this business. He knows so many people, people respect him. I am sure that if I could bring him on board he could skyrocket my business!” – Have you ever felt like that?
What do I mean by that?
Often happens that we find that perfect prospect, with great connections, ideas etc. I am sure you know somebody that could take your business to the next level. The problem is that many, not experienced network marketers “fall in love” with that person’s possibilities. They try to convince this kind of person to join their business.
Many those awesome people are not interested in what you are doing. They might be open in the future but for now, they are just “Not interested”. So when you fall in love with person possibilities you are actually wasting your time and you lose a lot of money. You are trying to CONVINCE a person who is NOT EVEN INTERESTED!
Instead of losing most of the time for those people use your time for people who are HUNGRY!
I am not saying delete their number and never talk to the again. You can follow up with them, you can reach out to them after some time but if some awesome “dude” says “NO” then put him on a “NOT NOW LIST” and focus on people who are hungry.
It will be easier for you to recruit a person who is hungry, who want to change his life, a person who has big goals. Usually, these people are willing to work! And will take your business to the next level. Look for people who are searching for what you have and stop “Falling in love” with “not interested” person’s possibilities. I have a couple of friends that I believe they could be Rock Starts in our industry and some of them are the first few who I talked to at my very beginning.
They see that I am working from home, that I have more free time and more possibilities to spend time with my family and friends, but yet they are not interested. I will talk to them again for sure but for now, they are on my “NOT NOW LIST”. I want to focus on those who need help, who are Hungry, and who are open and coachable.
Don’t fall in love with somebody’s possibilities, abilities, their connections or whatever you think is good for your business. Focus on people who are Hungry and those who are looking for an opportunity to change their lives!
