I know you’ve been trying, I know you want to quit. But it’s time for you to Rise. Stop the failure pattern to achieve goals. It’s time to Rise my friend!
Failing doesn’t make you be a failure. There is a difference between failing and being a failure. You are reading this post because you are looking for a solution, it means you didn’t give up. It means you didn’t lose the desire to succeed but you might feel like quitting. It’s because you are tired of the battle. Tired of the battle with yourself and the beliefs you have.
You know that there is something that stops you, you know that there is something that constantly prevents you from reaching your goals but you can’t figure out what it is. In this post, I will try to get you closer to the root of your problem.
We all want to feel safe at some point. It doesn’t matter if it’s about the business or personal life. Feeling safe makes us calm and comfortable and people are always looking for ways to stay comfortable.
No matter where you are right now and no matter your current circumstances, you are carrying the parachute with you all the time. Your mental parachute can protect you from falling, it can protect you from getting hard badly. Let’s think about people who love skydiving. I don’t thin there is a person who would jump from the airplane without a parachute. They jump from the plane because they feel safe with their parachutes, of course some of them feel scared but at the end, they know that the parachute will protect them from falling straight to the ground. Skydivers need a parachute because they are falling down.
The questions are: Are you a skydiver? With your life or business, you want to be going down or up? If you are willing to grow (go up), why do you need a parachute?
The big problem is that parachute can protect you at some point, but it can stop you or even make you go back to the place where you came from. Your mental parachute can become the heaviest stone in your journey and because of that, you will fail.
Just curious if you ever launched a kite as a kid? If you didn’t I suggest you go buy 1 cheap kite and launch it. When you are doing it, you can notice that when the wind blows it, your kite feels heavier. If your kite is small, you will not feel that big difference. But if your kite is larger than 2m it’s possible that with a strong wind you will be pulled up.
The same thing is with a parachute. It slows down the falling so you can land safely on the ground. But your business and your life is not a skydiving. You go to work, you build your business, create a family, make friends on the ground. You don’t jump from the high building to meet your soul mate or ou don’t jump from the airplane to make more sales. It all happens on the ground but you have the parachute attached to you all the time. You are not moving vertically, you are moving horizontally.
Entrepreneurial journey or life changing journey is not easy. The universe is constantly testing you and blows the wind in your face. Sometimes the wind is so strong that you can’t open your eyes, but you need to keep moving forward if you want to achieve something. Since you have the parachute attached to you all the time, guess what will happen. If the wind is weak, you won’t feel a change expect of the parachute weigh. But what will happen when the wind will be so strong that won’t be able to open your eyes? The wind will blow the parachute and it will stop you from moving forward or even worse, it might pull you back.
You are not moving up or moving down. You can walk or run only to the back, left, right or forward. So your parachute doesn’t protect you, it only slows you down. To be able to imagine it and understand what I am saying here I suggest you to watch Katy Perry’s New Music Video “Rise“.
First of all, there is no need your parachute to be attached to you all the time. You need to learn how to take it off and put it on only in real dangerous situations. What I want you to understand is that your mental parachute is nothing else than a protective mechanism. Your mind is trying to protect you even when there is no danger. Your mind is trying to keep you where you are so you could feel safe and comfortable. What you need to do is to stop listening to that voice that gives you a doubt and creates an imagined fear of something new.
Here is key: If the thing you are attempting to do doesn’t kill you physically DO IT!
Another thing is that you’ve failed many times and this became something like a parachute as well. Because of the previous failures, you have a big doubt of you succeeding. Now when you attempt to do something new, your mind already reminds you of the previous attempts and all the pain of failing. So, now when you are trying something new, your attitudes is changed. You want to do something, you want to succeed but somewhere in your heart you feel “well, it won’t work this time again probably“. If you are focusing on this, you will get it my friend.
I don’t want you to lose your beliefs. I want you to rise and to achieve your goals because I know it’s possible for you. You keep failing because your protection mechanism failed and now it’s trying to protect you from the things that won’t hurt you. Your mind is now even trying to protect you from the things that will help you grow. Take off that heavy parachute. Having it didn’t help you succeed till now, so why you are still carrying it. Don’t believe everything that the voice of protection tries to tell you if it doesn’t kill you physically, stand up and do it.
Now is the time to break the pattern of failing. Now is the time for you to rise.
