Many people wonder if they should brand themselves or not, some of the people would like to brand themselves but they are scared of the judgemental comments or they think that they can start branding themselves once they create a success. The truth is that you should brand yourself even you don’t have any results yet, even if you think that no one will listen to you.
If you are in network marketing profession this could be one of the biggest reasons of why you should brand yourself. Assuming that you are doing a network marketing business you know that sometimes people change their companies due to new rules, new products etc.
Let me ask you a question, have you ever seen the phenomenon of somebody joining network marketing company and ranks up really, really fast? The secret of this phenomenon is that those people created strong personal brand and people were joining them not the company so when the leader changed the company guess what, his/hers team followed them.
People think that personal branding is a nice logo, cool looking blog and social media accounts. Of course, those things are very important to create a strong brand around yourself but more important than a visual aspect is the value. You create a strong personal brand by providing value, by teaching and helping others. So if you want to build a strong brand of your name then you should start providing more value.
You can provide a lot of value by learning new things. My mentor came up with the ILT that stands for “Invest – Learn – Teach”. Basically saying you invest your time and possibly money, to learn something new and teaching others that thing. As you can see you don’t need to be rich to prove them that what you are saying is correct. You teach people the things that you just learned, this is so powerful and works like a magic.
Providing value and helping others is the biggest key to building a strong personal brand but as mentioned before some visual aspects are important as well.
1. Have your own website/blog not just your company landing page. (If you need blog/website reach me out)
2. Take some professional photos and use them on your social media.
3. Use same style and colors on your blog/website, social media accounts, courses, sliders etc.
4. Be active on at least 1 social media to get noticed by people.
Building a strong personal brand in your circles is powerful because people will start to see you as a leader and you will build a stronger relationship with your team. Provide a lot of value, answer your team’s questions, create training videos and stay connected. Except the fact that your team will view you as a leader and somebody they can trust you need to remember that the WOMM is one of the fastest marketing strategies.
Even if you are not in network marketing you still should brand yourself, not only the company because you don’t know what kind of ideas will come to you in the future. If you focus only on your company which could be let’s say an IT company and in the future you will come up with the brilliant idea about healthy food it will be weird if the IT company promoting and making healthy food. So it will be best if you create a strong personal brand and attach new ideas and projects to you not only your company.
