Many network marketers are afraid to recruit someone who is more successful than them. This is a common fear especially for those who just started network marketing company or didn’t create results yet.

People are scared to recruit up because they are overthinking a lot and before they approach a successful person they start to think “oh, what if I say something wrong”, “what if he tells me that I am an idiot”, “what if he makes rumors about me”, “what if…”, “what if…”. Well if you let yourself ask “what if…” then you will not get to anywhere, but here is a thing that you need to understand.
Leaders or successful people have a different mindset than average Joe who doesn’t see any other possibilities than his job. There are a couple of reasons why leaders are leaders and why successful people are successful.
They are more open-minded. If you tell them something new about a business or a topic that they are interested in they will listen. Somewhere in the past, they listened to someone and they took the chance so now after the hard work they can call themselves leaders or successful people.
They are willing to risk if they see the opportunity. They understand that without a list there are no big benefits and since they are willing to risk and they are open-minded you have a big chance to sign them up for your business.

Leaders or successful people might say “No” to your business opportunity or product, but you have a chance to get a referral. That kind of people are connected to many other leaders, so the person that you are talking to about your business may have already so many things to and he or she won’t join you but may point you to a person who might be interested in your biz opp or product.
First of all, your goal is to grow your team. So if you want to grow your team fast I suggest you recruit leaders and approach successful people. As I mentioned above, those people have huge connections and network marketing is all about building relationships. Do you want to grow Leaders and successful people are already respected and they have many followers? If their followers trust them and they see that their leader started a new business, you can be sure that your team will start to grow.

But how to recruit those leaders and successful people?
Here is a thing that you need to remember. Successful people respect their and other people’s time, so if you want to prospect them I suggest you open and talk. There is no need for explaining everything from A to Z and showing them how overexcited you are. You shouldn’t also pretend that you are not prospecting them because they will know it and only because you didn’t talk to them a straight way they might say no.
So, first of all, you need to respect their time.
